Leaving our logos and
In 2014, a group of five ministries came together to discuss how to better awaken the church to the needs of the "orphans" living in Los Angeles neighborhoods -- children and youth in foster care. As they talked and prayed with each other, they began to realize the importance of working together toward this common goal, and the Coalition of Christian Foster Care Ministries was born. The Coalition has continued to grow since that time, as new agencies join the cause of working shoulder-to-shoulder to awaken and equip the church. All Coaltion members donate their time and efforts to the Coalition.
No one agency or ministry in the Coalition is considered more significant than any other -- all agencies support the goals and work of every agency, and the Coalition directs churches and individual volunteers to the program that is the best fit for them. Our deeply held desire is to connect the family of Christ to kids without stable families, so that children and youth living in LA foster care can be protected, befriended, prayed for, guided, supported, mentored, encouraged, assisted, and most of all loved, as Christ loved us.
